Welcome to lynettelarue
Art is for everyone! I couldn't tell you how many times I have heard a student say, "I'm not an artist. I can't even draw a stick figure." Yet, in truth, each of our individual "scratchings" on paper is unique in the world, for all time!
"What would it be like if you lived each day, each breath, as a work of art in progress? Imagine that you are a Masterpiece unfolding every second of every day, a work of art taking form with every breath."—Thomas Crum

TESTIMONIAL
"Before I took Lynette’s drawing class, I had never really drawn and I could not even say that I had wanted to draw. Drawing was like a foreign language to me.
Lynette's teaching style is methodical. She began with the fundamentals. She taught the class to pay attention to art elements (line, shape, space, value…) and how they inter-played. Then, she used assignments to introduce skills and techniques. Following the process, I was able to step out to draw for the first time. My eyes also started to see what I had not noticed before, soft and hard edges, shadows from overlapping objects, varieties in textures and values...
I have been drawing since. Actually, I have added a brand new dimension to my life because of the joy and passion for drawing and painting. Lynette taught me to see – ‘let the object speaks to you’ as she always said. She also taught me not to be ashamed or afraid to create something that is uniquely me. "
